Friends,
Lots of semi-interesting things happened over the last week, not the least of which was the anniversary of the terror attacks in 2001. No, I didn’t forget. Just didn’t have too much to add. Okay, maybe one thing. A question. Do you think we’re winning against the bad guys? Apprehensions of plotters seem to be more frequent, but maybe that’s just what we’re hearing about. The War On Airline Travel seems to be going apace as well. Profoundly dumb, of course, but this upside-down government of ours seems to think that two and a half ounces of liquid are much safer than three. That lighters are okay, but matches are not. That tapping every phone is a reasonable response.
We’re ready and vigilant, but tired of arbitrary scare-mongering. That shouldn’t have been the point.
